Digital Chosun Ilbo Deploys Fortinet UTM Solutions to Enable Broad, High Performance Security Protection and Customized Management

Adoption of FortiGate Security Appliances Helps the Media Giant Increase Security Operations Performance Significantly

SEOUL, Korea, March 29, 2010 - Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) - a leading network security provider and worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions - today announced that Digital Chosun Ilbo has successfully deployed Fortinets FortiGate-3810A. With this deployment, Digital Chosun Ilbo, the subsidiary of The Chosun Ilbo, one of the most influential newspaper in Korea, now has a more secure network by blocking blended security threats. Since the year 2000, the company deployed a point solution firewall to combat malicious attacks on its internal network. However, due to bandwidth difficulties caused by increased Internet usage and server security issues occurring as a result of new emerging security threats, Digital Chosun Ilbo decided to deploy four FortiGate-3810A appliances to implement a comprehensive, unified threat management (UTM) solution.
