SUNNYVALE, Calif., September 13, 2010 - Fortinet®(NASDAQ : FTNT) - a leading network security provider and a worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions today announced the appointment of Luca Simonelli as Vice President of Sales, EMEA. As a sales and security industry veteran, Simonelli brings strong field experience to the role, which will help further accelerate Fortinets high-value business throughout the region.

"I am very pleased to have received this promotion, which is a strong sign of recognition for the results I achieved at Fortinet in the last six years. I am very excited about the challenges I will have to face in managing new European territories, such as the United Kingdom, France and Germany. My priority will be to further drive high-end market penetration, with a strong focus on key verticals such as telco, finance and government."
