Enhanced Partner Program Aimed at Driving High Value Business for Fortinets Channel and Accelerating Market Penetration
SINGAPOE, July 15, 2010 - Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) - a leading network security provider and a worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions today announced that it is strengthening its FortiPartner Program (FPP) across South East Asia and Hong Kong. This selective program, based on three tiers, namely gold, silver and bronze, aims at driving value and commitment for Fortinets distributors and resellers by focusing on channel profitability, technology leadership and a strong certification program, through the recruitment of Authorized Training Centers in each country. Spanning across eight countries, the FPP program aims to accelerate Fortinets success in the region.
ÏAs the global leader in the UTM space, Fortinet has been a strong innovator on the market and is now expanding its footprint into the larger IT security space. This move, along with Fortinets leadership position in Asia Pacific, which was recently recognized by Frost & Sullivans 2010 network security vendor of the year award, gives us horsepower in enterprise deals, said Andy Woo, Sales Director at Pacific Tech. ÏBy being part of Fortinets channel program we will benefit from superior technical/sales support and other value added services, which will help us improve our business efficiency and performance.
Enhancements to the FortiPartner Program include:
To launch its FPP program, Fortinet will be rolling out a multiple city channel roadshow from August onwards starting with Kuala Lumpur as the kick-off location. The roadshow aims to update partners on the state of business and showcase the end-to-end security portfolio that the company has started to market since 2009. In addition, partners will also be able to understand more about Fortinets holistic channel strategy with key programs in the areas of marketing, support, renewal, certification and training.
According to George Chang, regional director for Fortinet Southeast Asia & Hong Kong, ÏBy officially launching the Fortinet Partner Program in the region, we look at selectively attracting and recruiting committed partners to support our aggressive growth plan in the region. The FPP program will make it easier for Fortinet to communicate to its channel and educate our partners on our business and technology value proposition to the end user community. This is an important step to affirm our leadership and allow our partners to benefit from strong margins.
