Messaging Security Appliance Earns Comparative VBSpam Certification Based on High Spam Catch Rate and Zero False Positives
SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 19, 2010 - Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) - a leading network security provider and a worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions today announced the companys FortiMail™ messaging security appliance has been awarded its seventh Virus Bulletin certification in the VBSpam Awards.
Virus Bulletin staff tested FortiMail along with 23 other anti-spam products its largest test to date for spam catch rates and false positive rates. The Virus Bulletin eport noted that the FortiMail appliance achieved the award in part due to no false positives occurring during the test. According to the report, Fortinet customers Ïcan be confident that there is little chance of legitimate mail being blocked.
