SEOUL, Korea, April 6, 2005 - Fortinet - the confirmed market leader in Unified Threat Management and only provider of ASIC-accelerated, network-based antivirus firewall systems for real-time network protection- today announced that it has supplied and installed its FortiGate™-300 Antivirus Firewall platform to Eulji General Hospital, a leading medical services facility in Korea.

Eulji General Hospital, a unit of Eulji Foundation, recently reviewed its need to deal comprehensively with security threats within its EM (electronic medical record) implementation. Patients' personal and medical information is saved directly in its servers exposing the data to security threats, and the hospital to the risk of reputation loss, and disruption to its operations. Eulji General Hospital has previously experienced slowdowns in its network traffic speed due largely to attacks of computer and network viruses. Lost productivity of hospital staff having to handle a daily influx of spam mail was also a deciding factor prompting adoption of the Fortinet solution.
